Untranslatable Words

The word I chose is a German word : Geborgenheit

It translates to : (n) The perfect mixture of cozy, safe, warm and comfortable

This word intrigued me because while I was looking for a word, a lot of the words had negative connotations to it and there weren't a lot of words that had positive or happy connotations to them. And I also like to feel cozy, safe, warm and comfortable. I have experienced this in my life a couple times. There have been times where I've been in Denmark in the winter with my parents and my grandparents and we were in our winter house. There was a Christmas tree lit with actual candles, traditional ornaments and presents were sprawled underneath the tree. There was food cooking in the kitchen and I was helping my grandmother bake some traditional Danish marzipan desserts. The house had a very warm glow to it and there was even a fireplace going in the living room. Or there was this time where my mom and I were staying at my auntie's house in Washington and the whole house itself had a very cozy vibe to it, and I would always sit by the marble fireplace with a hot chocolate in hand with blankets and we would all just talk and laugh on the sofa. #goodvibes

I could incorporate this word into my life if I could learn how to pronounce the word first :) But whenever I feel safe and comfortable somewhere or with someone, I'll just blurt the word out in horribly pronounced German !
